Who is
Rollo Unden?
SEO entrepreneur, software developer and founder of Apex Marketing. He builds ranking software, owns web properties, and consults in some of the most competitive industries in search.
The short version
Rollo Unden (born October 2002, Guernsey) is a Swedish-British search engine optimisation consultant, entrepreneur and software developer. He founded Apex Marketing and is the person behind Rapid Indexer and Unfair Links.
He started in SEO in 2022 ranking affiliate sites, then put his own capital into competitive performance verticals — including iGaming — where rankings either pay or they don't. Apex began as a client agency with co-founders Blaze Vile and Finley Price. In 2024 he bought them out and became sole owner. The company now sits closer to a parent for software and automation products than a conventional retainer shop.
The through-line is ownership: he builds the tools, ranks his own properties with them, and only then productises what actually works. Public writing stays thin on purpose. What circulates does so in private networks — and on a handful of corroborating pages, including rollounden.com, rollounden.wiki, and his listing as a moderator on SEO.Stream's about page.
How he got here.
From affiliate SEO to owned software and web properties — each step further from selling time.
SEO, both hats
Years inside search: technical SEO, indexing and link building, tested in competitive verticals. He went deep enough on indexing that he later shipped his own tool for it.
Automation, then product
A stretch focused on process automation — Make.com and n8n — came back into SEO as content, publishing and reporting pipelines. That approach was productised as Makeify rather than billed job by job.
Apex Marketing
Founded in Guernsey as a digital marketing agency. Rollo ran SEO strategy and development for clients in industries where nothing ranks unless the work actually works. After the 2024 buyout, Apex became the parent for his software stack.
Performance on his own money
Affiliate and performance SEO across competitive verticals. No retainer, no excuses: a page ranks and collects, or it doesn't. That portfolio still funds — and sharpens — the public products.
Software and owned properties
AI now sits at the centre of the stack. He builds full-stack in PHP, Next.js and TypeScript. One of those builds shipped as Rapid Indexer. Most of the ranked properties stay unlisted.
AI SEO Rainmakers
Named as a moderator of AI SEO Rainmakers, the paid AI SEO community founded by Charles Floate and published by SEO.Stream. He runs testing, experiments and the tooling side. He does not hold ownership.
Ventures he founded.
Apex Marketing
Automation-first SEO agency and SaaS parent. Link building, press, content pipelines, AI visibility and indexing — built for providers who need scale without agency bloat.
Apex MarketingRapid Indexer
Indexing software launched in 2025. Standard and VIP queues, an index-status checker, a developer API and a Chrome extension — built because existing tools were too slow at portfolio volume.
Rapid IndexerUnfair Links
A marketplace for local and entity-matched backlinks. Placements sit on sites rebuilt on domains with live Google Business Profiles, matched to market and language — not generic guest-post inventory.
Unfair LinksMakeify
An Apex-backed site selling Make.com automation templates and custom integrations, including content and indexing pipelines that turn one-off workflows into reusable systems.
MakeifyResearch and appearances
Public research has focused on crawl discovery, indexing at scale, and SERP reshaping — changing the mix of result types Google shows for a query, rather than ranking a better page of the type already there. That model is laid out in SERP Reshifting & SERP Reshaping on the Apex blog.
In March 2026 he was a guest presenter on Charles Floate's Black Hat SEO webinar, speaking on SERP reshaping. He is a moderator of Floate's AI SEO Rainmakers community, published by SEO.Stream — listed there as founder of Rapid Indexer, running testing, experiments and the tooling side. He does not own the community.
Google's Knowledge Graph lists him at identifier /g/11w1l_lfxq.
